The Center for Applied Psychology, Inc. cites Dr. Terrence Webster-Doyle as an “eloquent leader of the movement to combine principles of education, psychology, and the martial arts to teach young people to resolve conflict peacefully."
PROGRAMS: PRACTICAL
In order to have the concepts from the Youth Peace Literacy resources taught to young people and their teachers we have designed a three-part BioCognetic Education™ program for Youth-At-Risk to meet this need.
Level One: Conflict Resolution - MAP S.T.A.R.S. Youth-At-Risk™ Critical Need Training Program
This program can be used in an acute situation with Youth-At-Risk or children in trauma.
Curricula:
- Why are they always getting picked on?
- Why Is Everybody Always Picking On Me? A Guide to Handling Bullies
- Why Am I Always Picking On Myself? Making Friends With Your Inner Bully
Level Two: Prejudice Awareness - MAP S.T.A.R.S. Youth-At-Risk™ Bully/Victim Cycle Training Program
This program is a general overview of all the stages of the bully/victim cycle. It is needed in order to teach young people about the depth and breath of conflict created by conditioned thinking – from its roots in the way we think to the worse case scenario outwardly in how that prejudicial, conditioned thinking creates war.
Curricula: The Eight Stages of the Bully/Victim Cycle
Level Three: Character Development - MAP S.T.A.R.S. Youth-At-Risk™ Life Skills Training Program
A multi-level career training program that can be used as an after School or special summer program designed to teach Youth-At-Risk how to build character, resolve conflict and create peace.
